Can you handle large-scale productions as well as small business projects?

Yes. Our portfolio spans everything from small-business promotional videos to large-scale operations. We scale our crew, gear, and production footprint according to the project's scope, ensuring small businesses get high efficiency while larger clients get top-tier cinema production values.

How long does it take to complete a production?

That all depends on the scale of the project. For smaller projects, we often have complete turnarounds in under three business days.

For longer, more structured projects where we're deeply involved in the pre- and post-production process, production can take months.

What's important is that you communicate the scope of your project, and, importantly, your expected launch date. We'll tell you if we think it's feasible.

Do you assist with content strategy, or do you just hit record?

We are a "new media" agency, meaning we don't just focus on the camera work&we understand platform algorithms and audience retention. We help clients figure out where the video will live (e.g., YouTube, TV, OTT web streaming) and optimize the pacing, hook, and format specifically for that audience.

What kind of track record do you have with digital video?

We have a strong pedigree in modern digital media, maintaining a portfolio that includes a YouTube creator network with millions of combined subscribers. We bring that audience-retention expertise to all the projects we undertake.

Our decade-plus of hands-on experience, an insatiable hunger to push our creative limitations, and deep personal interest in media production has led us to being one of Maine's premier digital video production studios.

Web Design

How much does a website cost?

That all depends on the scope and size of the website you're looking to have created. A simple billboard-style website (one page with unchanging content) can cost as little as $400 for design and implementation.

There are also annual costs that come along with operating a website including domain registration and hosting.

You can learn more about our pricing over on our pricing table.

Why should I pay someone to design a website when I can build it myself, or have my nephew or AI do it for free?

It's a completely fair question—and with so many modern DIY templates out there, it's tempting! But there is a massive difference between a website that just exists and one that actively grows your business.

Here is why partnering with Heavy Element is the best investment for your company:

Instant Credibility: A website is your digital first impression. Consumer data from Network Solutions shows that 84% of consumers view a business with its own dedicated website as automatically more credible than one without. Furthermore, 75% of consumers admit they judge a company's entire level of professionalism based strictly on its website's visual design. If your site looks homemade, potential customers assume your services are, too.

Psychology-Driven Design: A family member might well know how to make a page look pretty, but professional design is an actual science. We build with proven, psychology-based design patterns that guide a visitor's eyes, reduce buying friction, and intentionally convert casual traffic into paying clients. Every pixel is engineered to drive real-world revenue.

You Have a Business to Run: Your time has a literal dollar value. The hours you spend troubleshooting a layout, worrying about mobile responsiveness, or trying to figure out SEO are hours stolen from running your day-to-day operations. Handing this expert work over to professionals doesn't just give you a better product & it gives you your peace of mind and quality of life back so you can focus on what you actually love doing.

What is the web development process like?

Free Consultation: Our quotes are custom-tailored to your business needs. We'll sit down for a free consultation where we assess your needs, outline the capabilities of the website you're looking for, determine the "customer flow," and the "sales funnel" (where applicable).

Quote & Deadlines: From here, we'll provide you with a quote and negotate deadlines. We'll estimate our labor and lay out pricing.

Buildout: We build the website to your specifications in the time frame we agreed upon.

Deployment: We handle deploying your site to our dedicated hosting. We'll also handle DNS records and all the other technical bits.

Alternatively, if we're not hosting your site, we'll provide you with the documentation necessary to deploy it on your own server.

Ongoing Maintenance: Once your site is deployed to our server, we'll maintain it, keep the site and host updated. We also provide emergency services in case the site goes down.

Do you offer web hosting services?

Yes, we do!

What is included in your quote?

Our quotes include our estimated labor plus, where relevant, any ongoing fees including hosting, domain registration, etc.

Will I own the website you build for me?

Yes! Any custom designs and code we build that's specific to your site becomes your intellectual property after we recieve final payment. If we're providing your hosting, our standard contract grants us license to host your site.

Can you help me get a custom email address?

Absolutely! We do this all the time for our customers!

What happens if I need tech support?

We are available to help you! Give us a use the technical support form, send us an email, or give us a call 24/7/365!

Can your Web Design and Media Production offerings be bundled?

Absolutely. Since we handle both software/web development and high-end video production, we can build a seamless digital experience.

In fact, using custom videos on websites are the best way to capture attention in 2026.

Why is it beneficial to have a video production company also handle my web design?

It eliminates the disconnect between marketing creative and technical execution. We can compress and optimize video formats perfectly for fast website loading speeds, ensure aspect ratios align beautifully with responsive web layouts, and place user-action buttons precisely where the video narrative guides the viewer.
